Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Pittsburgh offers several affordable home repair programs designed to help low-income homeowners. Repairs are completed primarily through the efforts of our volunteers, with green and sustainable building practices used whenever possible. If needed, low or no-interest loans may be available to help finance the cost of the work.
Typical minor to extensive exterior repairs include:
- Painting
- Window repair
- Siding and trim repair
- Roof and soffit repair
- Porch, stair, or ramp repair
- Landscaping Door replacement
- Accessibility Modifications
Energy efficiency improvements include:
- Energy-efficient windows and doors
- Energy-efficient heating/cooling systems
- Air sealing Insulation and ductwork
Habitat is also accepting applications for its homeownership program. Low-income families in need of affordable housing may be eligible to become homeowners through Habitat for Humanity. Partner families have interest-free mortgages and have no down-payment on their home.
