Fox Chapel Area Adult Education

Fox Chapel Area Adult Education (FCAAE) has served adults in the Fox Chapel Area School District and surrounding communities since its founding in 1962. It is an outreach program of the Fox Chapel Area School District dedicated to providing quality adult enrichment classes for a low tuition. FCAAE offers a fall, winter and spring series of classes covering a wide variety of topics.

FCAAE was established by a group of community members, district administrators and members of the school board shortly after the completion of Fox Chapel Area High School in 1961. This dedicated group wanted to allow district adults, not just students, to take advantage of the new facilities. Beginning with approximately 20 classes that served 700 adults its first year, FCAAE now offers over 120 classes and serves 1,000-1,500 adults each year.

Our students join from throughout the five boroughs of the Fox Chapel Area as well as surrounding communities. With the addition of online classes, FCAAE now welcomes adults - former residents of Fox Chapel, friends of current students, and life-long learners - from across North America. Both residents and business owners receive a reduced tuition fee. Our teachers range from community volunteers to expert professionals.

FCAAE is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization run by a volunteer board of Fox Chapel Area School District residents and an Executive Director. Click here to visit our website for more information and to browse the class offerings or call 412.696.1410.
