Tax Season Fraud

With tax season getting ready to wind down, please do not let your guard down concerning scams and identity theft. If you are contacted by phone or email by anyone claiming to be from the IRS be very skeptical. Callers can be very aggressive making all kinds of claims concerning arrest and imprisonment and may use altered caller ID to make it look like the IRS is calling. Also, be careful of any mailing that appears to be from the IRS that claims you can receive a refund.
