How to Build a Spotted Lanternfly Trap

Spotted Lanternfly (SLF) is an invasive insect that has spread throughout Pennsylvania since its discovery in Berks County in 2014. SLF feeds on the plant sap of many different plants including grapevines, maples, black walnut, and other important plants in PA. If you see SLF, help stop it in its tracks!

The Township of O’Hara, in partnership with the Lauri Ann West Community Center, recently presented a program about Spotted Lanternflies and how to combat them. Everyone who attended left with a Spotted Lanternfly trap.  If you were unable to attend you can find instructions on how to build your own Spotted Lanternfly trap on the Penn State Extension website at: https://extension.psu.edu/how-to-build-a-spotted-lanternfly-circle-trap.

The Penn State Extension website at: https://extension.psu.edu/spotted-lanternfly has more information which can help answer your questions about Spotted Lanternfly.
